I worked "behind the scenes" unloading trucks and stocking backroom shelves. Keeping the loading dock, customer order bins, and pickup areas neat & orderly was also an everyday responsibility. We would perform carry-outs for large purchases at our merchandise pick-up (MPU) area, loading things like vacuum cleaners, televisions, and exercise equipment into customer vehicles. We also became responsible for unpacking and prepping fashions to go onto the sales floor, by stripping plastic, ink-tagging, and organizing. All receiving associates were also trained in bin inventory procedures.
