Proposal Preparation Supplier Coordination Subcontractor Coordination General Contractor Coordination Material Take Off Bid Preparation Quantity Calculations Material Cost Updates Estimation Software MaintenanceResponsible for the preparation of bid proposals for potential plumbing projects. Obtains plans, specifications, and addenda (as issued) for potential projects and coordinates that information with material suppliers and subcontractors to secure accurate price quotations. Also responsible for the take-off of plumbing material needed to complete the project using Viewpoint Estimation software. Compiles all costs and expenses, applying overhead, markups, and taxes to obtain a total job cost for each project. Prepares proposals on company letterhead for submission to all bidding General Contractors. Other responsibilities include maintaining a material cost data book within the software package, providing itemized cost breakouts for accounting staff, maintaining a log of job totals with win/loss records, and preparing special detail drawings, plans, and material lists for subcontractors and work crews out in the field.
