I have been in the fire service since 1992 and have loved every minute of it. I believe it's the best job in the world and I'm proud to be a part of the most trusted industry in the world. I work hard at improving myself and learning all I can. I was elected to Fire Chief of my volunteer FD the same time I was hired to Fire Chief at my career FD. While I was I was unable to serve at my VFD, the opportunity was still a life goal and highly rewarding. It will always hold a special place in my heart.In May of 2022, my career agency consolidated with a neighboring department forming the new Irondequoit Fire District. Prior to the merge I served as the career chief of both agencies, created the operational consolidation plan, executed it, and now serve as the first career chief of the new agency. This consolidation was a considerable challenge which pushed many of us to our limits, but we succeeded and now enjoy the fruits of our labor in what I believe is the best agency in our area. We have a highly motivated team which works hard to make the IFD a success and I couldn't be more proud to have been a part of the process. The first of it's kind in New York State.
