My name is Steven, and I am currently a full-time student at Deakin University, completing a Bachelor of Information Technology. I completed VCE in 2019 and to attempted complete a Diploma of IT at RMIT. While theexperience at RMIT was not entirely fitting for me, I was exposed to a large range of skills and industry knowledge which allowed me to properly pinpoint what I wanted to pursue in the future. I always had an affinity for IT andcomputing and having a taste of what that would be like in the industry got me excited in going toward this direction in the future. With more and more of the world becoming digitised, we have been exposed to possibilities which werevirtually unheard of in the past. The cloud, big data and peer to peer services have allowed the world to be moresophisticated than ever and have made our lives easier. yet these advancements have also their own vulnerabilities which I would like to help safekeep in the future. I believe in a fair, decentralised internet and technology that isultimately based about the user, with humans in mind This also led me to becoming deeply attached with the I.T community, the latest tech announcement, game releases and more. So, I decided that starting a career in I.T wouldbe the best way to purse my interests, as well to develop my skills. I am currently interest in the Cyber Security, andplan to follow a career in the field. For example, Network Security, Data security, Cloud Security and more. My career aspirations could change in the future because I also have an interest in game development and design and cloud computing, which may lead to a different career opportunity. I have always been interested in the world of I.T and what it has to offer, and I am excited to see what the future looks like for me
