Steven C. Shell is an Architect in Tucson, Arizona who has had his own professional practice since 1987, providing unique Architectural Designs, Site Planning and Zoning Related Work. He is also an internationally recognized lecturer and top rated speaker on Building Information Modeling (BIM), Revit, architectural graphic communication and rendering and presenting unique workflows which incorporate old school methods with cutting edge technology. He is an Adjunct Professor at Pima Community College in Tucson, AZ.Mr. Shell was the previous Zoning Examiner for the City of Tucson while still maintaining his architectural practice. For 28 years, he served as the Chairman on the City of Tucson's Board of Adjustment, Sign Code Advisory & Appeals Board and Design Review Board.Mr. Shell has been using Autodesk's Revit, a cutting edge 3D Architectural Modeling software program, (The foundation of BIM), since 2003. He is "Professionally Certified" in Revit by Autodesk and is qualified to provide training and consulting. He is the Co-Founder and Co-Chair of the Southern Arizona Revit Users Group (SARUG).Mr. Shell has lectured and taught at the University of Arizona's College of Architecture, Pima Community College (Adjunct Professor) and various other schools, architecture firms, manufacturing companies, large companies within the travel and entertainment industries and several professional organizations. He was a yearly speaker at Autodesk University (AU) in Las Vegas, he was a top rated speaker at 6 international Revit Technology Conferences and is an ongoing yearly presenter Midwest University (MU) in Minneapolis. Mr. Shell was awarded the overall "Top Speaker" for his round table classes at AU 2015, 2017 & 2019 in Las Vegas, He also has been awarded the "Top Speaker" award at five US CAD BIM Workshops throughout the United States.Steven is also the Lead Singer and Lead Guitar player for his local rock and roll band, Shell Shock, which have been performing professionally with it's original members since 1999. Prior to forming Shell Shock, he played in various local bands since 1981.
