I only do temporary work in the Professional Shop of Rothley Park Golf Club. I usually do weekend work along side my full time hours at East Midlands Housing Group (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm). Usually when the touring professional is away playing tournaments, I will step in to cover his shifts in the shop. I like to help out in the shop as much as I can.My job duties here include providing excellent customer service, in the aid of selling very valuable golf equipment. I have to provide advice on what golf equipment would suit certain individuals best. As well this I have to maintain shop cleanliness and replenish all stocks regulary, from golf clubs and clothing to drinks and chocolate bars.I have to order in new stocks for the shop and take deliveries when necessary. When the shop is quiet I have to repair golf clubs for customers. This could be fitting a new shaft on a club, replacing a worn grip or adjusting club lengths to suit the needs of customers.

Rothley, Leicestershire

In July 2011 I started working part time at Bradley’s Supermarket in Rothley. My duties included customer service, ordering goods from suppliers, booking deliveries in, price checking stock and maintaining shop and warehouse cleanliness.After turning 18 I was given the responsibility of being a key holder for the store. On Sunday's it was my duty to open and close the shop from 10am - 4pm. I had to manage two other staff members on these shifts. Managing time effectively was essential. There was a lot of work to be done, from replenishing stocks to serving customers in a busy shop; with only a limited amount of staff.
