• Served as the Acting Business Unit Chief Financial Officer / Controller for the $80.0 billion Retail Investment Products and Services (RIPS) group in charge of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to drive the success of short-term and long-term financial planning and business objectives within TIAA’s Retail Division.• Supported multiple business lines of the RIPS group, including Brokerage, IRA and Managed Accounts, Profit & Loss analysis, financial reviews, annual budgeting, multi-year forecasting, flows analysis, allocation modeling, and strategic business case development.• Managed financial modeling of proposed Mandatory Retirement Plans or Automatic IRAs for small businesses that did not provide retirement benefits for their employees. Due to my expert analysis concluding that there were substantial infrastructure investment requirements that had no financial return, TIAA abandoned the initiative and this decision was confirmed when the reversal of the Federal requirement occurred in 2017.

Facilitated monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory and tax reporting requirements including ad hoc inquiries from regulatory agencies (FINRA, SEC, NYSE, NASD). Ensured uniform reliable reporting and analysis based on rock-solid Sarbanes-Oxley compliant policies and procedures. • Successfully directed 6 financial service company merger processes involving financial, payroll, and service bureau systems and processes from multiple vendors and locations.• Initiated and executed an innovative strategy for the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) New Initiatives and Products processes that fostered ongoing communications and high-quality standard operating procedures, resulting in go-to-market strategies for products.
