As IT Manager for McLaughlin & Harvey Group, I provide pro-active management to the IT team across our Glasgow, Ayrshire and Belfast offices. I’m responsible for all aspects of IT within Kent Foods. With a turnover of £150 million pounds, 100% availability of the IT infrastructure is a must. I am responsible for budget, research, Purchase, install, maintenance, licencing and upgrade all hardware, software and telephony (mobile and fixed line). Supporting 100 users over 5 sites from head office in Glasgow. I am responsible for ensuring that all current and future systems are built to meet the growing needs of the business. I am solely responsible for assess business needs, defining current requirements while trying to anticipate future needs, and presenting to the board to gain signoff. I also sit in a variety of ‘operating board meetings’ to translate business needs to a system/solution.
