The Conestoga Centre for Commercialization (C4C) was created with support from Intellectual Property Ontario (IPON) to activate business innovation and support successful commercialization outcomes for regional SMEs, applied researchers and entrepreneurs. C4C works with industry and community partners to develop or enhance their IP strategy, provides guidance on developing effective commercialization strategies, and offers a full suite of IP services to help partners understand the intangible assets behind their services and goods.In this role, I work cross-functionally at the College to align and mobilize resources in support of commercialization-focused projects. I have also been tasked with creating and delivering several Intellectual Property Education workshops tailored to entrepreneurs and startup founders.

In this role, I act as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence for Lab2Market, a nationwide program dedicated to supporting some of Canada's most promising STEM researchers in translating their research accomplishments into viable and scalable commercial opportunities. The Lab2Market program uses the Lean Startup model and Business Model Canvas, and is based on similar successful I-Corps program in the U.S. and I-CURE program in the U.K. To date, Lab2Market has supported 100's of researchers nationwide, disbursing millions in funding, with alumni actively contributing to a significant transformation in Canada's innovation landscape.In this part-time role, I serve as a member of the Founder Council for several startups to provide feedback, support and guidance on their business model development and product development activities. I also created and delivered a training session to the 2024 Lab2Market Build cohort on Data Management Practices for Intellectual Property Management and Regulatory Compliance.

In this role, I lectured in the Masters of Engineering Innovation and Entrepreneurship program, Faculty of Engineering & Architectural Science at TMU. Course: New Venture Market Development & Financial Planning
