By utilizing the latest innovative technologies availabe at Stanford University, I design and execute novel research projects to advance translational medicine with the ultimate goal of helping patients. Having worked, been educated and trained in continuously growing academic environments for more than 10 years, I have acquired numerous skills and experiences in human immunology that are highly important to drive translational research forward. By writing highly competitive research grants, I have developed the ability to design and apply challenging research ideas and became skilled in problem solving. The high success ratio of such projects is evidenced by my scientific output, as I am an author on multiple peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals. As a postdoc, I am also recognized for my ability to educate and train undergraduate and PhD students and guide them along their trajectory. Scientifically, I am intrigued by the mechanisms that drive immune cell differentiation and function and how we can use novel insights to design innovative therapeutic approaches for patient benefit.My current research projects at Stanford University School of Medicine are highly translational and have the potential to transform our current knowledge in the field. My research projects include:- Design of a novel humanized and chronic mouse model of inflammatory bowel disease using gene editing of human hematopoietic stem cells- Exploring the role of Type 1 regulatory T cells (Tr1 cells) in immune tolerance in the context of autoinflammatory and autoimmune diseases
