As an aspiring Engineer my goal is to have a positive impact on the world around me. I have a passion for problem solving and a keen desire to improve upon the environmental impacts facing engineers today. My experience thus far has led me into the world of construction, commissioning and project completions which have shown to be an excellent proving ground. However, true to the Engineering spirit I am always up for a challenge and would enjoy the opportunity to gain more technically based experience.My engineering interests include renewable energy development, minerals processing, system operations and maintenance, product manufacturing, and engineering welding design.

During my second term with CFI in gain valuable plant construction, commissioning, and start up experience. I continued to serve a minor drafting role when required, revised engineering drawings, updated project documentation and began to produce design work under the supervision of the Project Manager and Metallurgist. I also began dealing with a greater number of vendors directly and fielded various technical queries. During this second term with CFI, I gained a great deal of field experience serving at times as a fill in operator to assist with mill start up activities. My responsibilities also grew substantially, being tasked with overseeing the redesign of the mill feed chute and the change over of the DMS plant screen decks.

During my time with CFI I was heavily involved in various engineering activities including piping layout review, valve schedule review, instrumentation specification, and engineering drawing updates. While under the guidance of the Project Engineer and Metallurgist I assisted in pipe routing changes and verifying plant model with engineering drawings. I also acted as liaison with the instrumentation vendor and was responsible for the review of instrumentation specifications under the supervision of the Project Engineer. In addition, I generated a preliminary piping BOM and developed valve and line lists for the entire plant design. Lastly, I filled the role of draftsperson for updating various drawings such as P&IDs as well as generating concept designs to provide to vendors for bids.

Engineering work term student with the Lower Churchill Project - Ready for Operations team. During my second term as part of the Ready for Operations team I continued many of my previous duties while expanding my scope with greater responsibilities. Such responsibilities included the review of contractor inspection and test plans, mechanical checklists, and other contractor generated completions documentation. In addition, I performed risk assessment for the Ready for Operation Team and identified appropriate mitigations while under the direction of the Ready for Operation Manager. During this second term with the project team, I was also able to complete the development of the project completions execution plan. As well, I further assisted with management and further development of the project completion system.

During my time as part of the Ready for Operations team I was engaged in all aspects of planning, preparation, and execution of the completions process.
