Steven P. Thurmon, CPA, A Professional Corporation, was reorganized in October, 2005 at the present location. Steve will operate in the new firm in the same way he served his clients from 1982 to 1995, before merging with Van Quaethem, Morgan & Thurmon. That is with one-on-one consultation and service. Before founding his highly successful company in 1981, Steve served as Tax Preparer, Audit Manager and Manager of the Small Business Consulting practices of Peat, Marwick & Mitchell (currently KPMG, LLP) in Kansas City where he amassed ten years expertise in the preparation and administration of tax returns for individuals and small businesses. Steve's clients have followed hem wherever he's gone. His secret? He has learned that it's sometimes more important to guide than to do! Just as he groomed his soldiers for war as a JAG NCO for the 139th Medical Group in the Army Reserves and just as he has prepared his students for life as an Adjunct Professor at Blue Rivers Community College, Steve knows the importance of teaching individuals to become self-sufficient and successful. He, therefore, coaches his clients in handling and understanding the every day accounting aspects of their businesses and in the preparation of their monthly bookkeeping, saving them hundreds to thousands of cost while working as part of the TEAM concept to help the client grow and meet their objectives.
