A detailed and quality-driven GIS professional with experience in cartography, spatial analysis, data management and modeling / analysis and a strong passion to continue to learn more and expand my technical skills and experience.I am a native Texan that grew up on an Oklahoma farm raising wheat and cattle. My family (including my dogs) are my top priority, but I love to fix things, visiting new places and motorcycling. My experience on the farm taught me that when something needed to be done, we had to find the way and often "think out of the box." I think most rewarding thing I can do is to simply help others. If my experiences help others, it's a great feeling. The world is a puzzle, and I find myself looking for reasons why something happens versus just knowing what happened. There is a new puzzle to find everywhere we look! I am currently working with We-Do-IT, providing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) solutions to legacy data and mapping to ensure that our utility customers have the information and tools they need to easily and quickly identify potential issues in the field, including potential safety issues. I love the professionalism of our team and the eagerness of all of our team members to pitch in and help. Before I found my passion for GIS in graduate school, my work in Safety Analysis and Petrophysics in the Utility and Oil & Gas Industries strengthened my ability to focus on the big picture and the details together. It's important to reach the end with a quality product, and take pride in contributing to many of the accomplishments that my teams and I have reached.As a QA Report Manager at IAG, I worked closely with my field teams and our customers to ensure the our pipeline inspections were performed and documented properly to ensure the integrity of the pipelines and the safety of the public.During my time at Centerpoint Energy, I had the privilege to work with the Hurricane Harvey response and provided critical information for the field crews in their efforts to restore service to impacted customers and to identify potential safety issues needing immediate attention. Due to the complexity of some of the analysis needed, I developed models to decrease the time needed to provide the critical information. As a Petrophysicist and GIS Analyst at Energen Resources, I re-structured our well data and added additional missing data to our databases, and then created extensive maps and and a "Core Data Catalog" to quickly identify available core data for oil field exploration support.
