Steven Van Grack has had great success in countless litigation matters including major victories in large automobile collisions, medical malpractice, wrongful death, dog attacks, sexual abuse, and police brutality. Steven has been dedicated to protecting the rights of his clients who have been injured as a result of the wrongful actions of another for over 30 years. Steven’s skills are evident from the initial evaluation of his clients’ case, to working with insurance companies to ensure bills are paid, to negotiating settlements. The majority of personal injury cases are resolved without litigation. In those instances that a settlement agreement cannot be reached, Steven will attempt to settle the case through alternative dispute resolution. He is certified in the areas of mediation and arbitration. However, should the case go to court, Steven’s trial skills are superior and have served his clients well.Steven also has significant experience representing student athletes, U.S. Olympians, and professional athletes.As a native Washingtonian who attended Bethesda Chevy Chase High School, Steven has regularly been involved with Maryland government, community, and legal affairs. Steven served in the distinguished position of Mayor of the City of Rockville from 1985- 1987 and in 1994 was the Democratic candidate for the House of Representatives from the 8th Congressional District in Maryland. He has been appointed to boards and commissions by Maryland Governors Mandel, Schaefer, Glendening and Ehrlich. He served on the Maryland Real Estate Commission for seven years which he chaired for four years. Steven was also president of MICPEL, the Maryland Institute for Continuing Professional Education of Lawyers.
