I'm back at my old haunts at Textron Aviation. This time I'm batting cleanup on the Denali program. My responsibilities are to complete all the engineering that's been started but not finished when the program was last shelved. My tasks include systems installation, wire routing and wire harness integration between Catia V6 and Mentor Graphics.

This was my first experience designing installations for helicopters. Lots of new things to learn and great people to work with. My current focus is creating installations for various avionics equipment and improving some of the instrument panel structure. In addition, I did some design work involving composite and machined parts.

My responsibilities included the installation of electrical systems as well as the design and installation of the support structures for these systems. In addition, I was a low level manager responsible for overseeing the schedule and release of engineering drawing in support of Boeing's Head of State group.I left because of family related reasons. Thank you to my friends and co-workers at Boeing for teaching me so much in such a short period of time. I hope to work you again in the future.

Responsible for the integration of Cessna required equipment with the Silvercrest engine. Modified the design of the engine auxiliary gear box to relocate the air starter turbine to increase clearances with existing engine equipment, improving reliability and maintainability.Worked with Cessna and Safran engineers to develop a routing path for bleed air needed by the air starter turbine. The new routing path improved accessibility and reduced weight.Developed a routing path for wire harnesses that improved clearances from new equipment while allowing the use of existing bundles.Created presentations to communicate these concepts to both Cessna and Safran team members.

Responsible for installation of Auxiliary Heat Exchanger System. Designed supporting structure for Auxiliary Heat Exchanger system. Designed composite ducts to supply ram air to and exhaust air from Auxiliary Heat Exchanger. Created light weight check valve to prevent back flow through Auxiliary Heat Exchanger Blower. Worked with vendors to supply insulating pads and gaskets for Auxiliary Heat Exchanger system.Responsible for design and installation of the Ground Air Start system tubing.

Design modifications to allow aircraft to be refit with modern avionics.

Designed installations for electrical equipment and exterior lights.Created, routed and integrated main aircraft wire harnesses through cabin and wing. Conducted aircraft systems electrical load analysis, identified areas where system loads could be re-allocated improving battery life under emergency conditions.

Designed installations for electrical equipment and exterior lights.Created and routed main aircraft wire harness while helping to develop processes necessary to integrate wire harnesses with electrical wire diagrams. Developed new anchor specifically intended to support small diameter wire bundles securely.

Designed supporting structure for instrument and circuit breaker panels as well as avionic equipment racks in aircraft tail cone. Assisted in developing techniques for grounding electrical equipment in a composite airframe, with focus on manufacturability.

Installation of electrical equipment and wire routing on the following aircraft, Citation X, Excel, Citationjet II and III, Mustang and OT-47B.
