Project Manager – Rudolph & Sletten (AlleCure, Inc, Valencia, CA -$18M)Implemented a “Goals Alignment Pre-Construction Strategy” focusing all members of the design team on the owner’s bio-pharmaceutical process and desired function of the Vivarium. This resulted in optimum space utilization and clean zone plans with both construction and operational cost savings. (Lucent Technologies Wafer Fab Plant, Irwindale, CA - $60M)Directed a $60M design-build microchip fabrication plant, developing project goals, purchasing contracts, defining and tracking deliverables, budgets and project schedules. Developed conceptual estimates and final GMP utilizing 65 percent design documents. Implemented value engineering techniques, assisted in design development and design constructability review resulting in 20 percent reduction in overall project schedule and $3 million in cost savings. Conducted weekly analysis of project risk based on schedule and budget impacts due to level of design development completion. Effectively managed a 5 person superintendent team on a fast track, dual shift basis, installing work in excess of $ 4M per month.Project Superintendent – Turner Construction Co (Universal Studios Office Building, Beverly Hills, CA - $35M)Successfully coordinated simultaneous field efforts of as many as 17 subcontractors on a $35M Class “A” office building. Received 3 safety awards for successfully developing site-specific safety and subcontractor safety incentive programs. Facilitated design development changes, mitigated potential problems, and ensured project goals were met through daily trade coordination meetings.
