AACo is Australia’s largest integrated cattle & beef producer, and is the oldest continuously operating company in Australia. AACo owns and operates a strategic balance of stations, feedlots and farms comprising around 6.4 million hectares of land in Queensland and the Northern Territory. This equates to roughly 1% of Australia’s land mass. AACo has more than 450 employees across 19 stations, 2 feedlots & 2 farms, with annual turnover >$250m and >$1.0b of assets under management.In the role of Finance Manager – Operations, business partnering with the COO, I am currently responsible for financial oversight of the integrated supply chain from stations to feedlots, the management of toll processing arrangements with meat processing plants, and freight & logistics. Operating expenditure totalled >$160m, with capital expenditure of $10m in FY21. Throughout this supply chain we have the responsibility for around 340k head of livestock (>$500m).

LR Northern Region has annual turnover of between $150-$200M with more than 300 employees over 3 manufacturing sites, and 8 distribution sites throughout QLD & NT. As the finance leader on the 6 person Senior Management Team, we have the responsibility of determining the strategic direction of the business. This involves formulating a business plan including EBITDA improvement initiatives such as: • Sales Growth Opportunities• Operational Excellence Programs• Cost Reduction Programs.
