Part of Lendlease's Australian Social Impact team, who drive positive social outcomes across the organisation's projects and new communities. The team achieves this through strategies and initiatives which support stakeholder engagement, community and economic development and workforce participation. The team also provides strategic support to drive outcomes for Lendlease’s Elevate Reconciliation Action Plan.I was also the co-Chair of Lendlease Pride Australia, the organisation's employee reference group supporting its LGBTQ+ staff.

Fishermans Bend is Australia’s largest urban renewal project covering approximately 480 hectares in the heart of Melbourne. It consists of five precincts across two municipalities – the City of Melbourne and the City of Port Phillip – and connects Melbourne's CBD to the bay.This role within the Fishermans Bend Taskforce manages the design and delivery of collaborative strategies to engage with stakeholders and communities around multiple components of the project, which includes developing:* 4 detailed implementation plans for the Lorimer, Montague, Wirraway and Sandridge precincts.* a Fishermans Bend Employment Precinct Plan.* 'Caring for Country' guidelines.* The project's Water Sensitive City Strategy.* an overarching infrastructure planning for the Fishermans Bend area, including transport infrastructure, community infrastructure and open space, environment and water sensitive urban design responses and development contributions.

Suburban Rail Loop is a major Victorian Government initiative. It's centrepiece infrastructure is a new 90-kilometre orbital rail line, which is proposed to connect suburbs and regions to jobs, education, health services, Melbourne Airport, and each other. The Precincts and Suburbs group within DJPR led the early investigations of the strategic opportunities associated with the future development of the precincts in which the SRL railway stations are proposed to be constructed (prior to the formation of the new Suburban Rail Loop Authority). This secondment role led the development of a stakeholder and community engagement strategy to support the early precinct planning works associated with the proposed first stage of the project in Melbourne's south-east.

Based within the Community Partnerships and Engagement team, this contract role was focused on investigating a fit-for-purpose stakeholder relationships management systems for the whole of the DELWP. The role involved a designing and facilitating a collaborative, cross-departmental approach to understanding the needs of each of the Department's groups; assessing options; managing a pilot process to test one potential system with multiple teams; and providing advice around organisation capacity to implement any chosen system.

CoDesign Studio is a not-for-profit Melbourne-based placemaking and engagement consultancy that works with stakeholders such as local governments, developers and communities to shape successful neighbourhood and public spaces. This contract role was focused on supporting the team through a change-management process being implemented to support a CEO transition for the organisation. I provided project direction for a range of complex placemaking and engagement projects, facilitation support and strategic advice for the next phase of CoDesign Studio's journey.

Melbourne Water is leading the development of the Yarra Strategic Plan on behalf of the Victorian Government. The Strategic Plan will give effect to a 50 year community vision for the Yarra and provide the basis for the future planning of the river corridor and each of its reaches.Landmark legislation, The Yarra River Protection (Wilip-gin Birrarung Murron) Act 2017, identifies the Yarra River and the many hundreds of parcels of public land it flows through as one living, integrated natural entity for protection and improvement. It is the first Act in Victoria to use the language of Traditional Owners in its title, and one of the first in Australia to include Traditional Owner language in the Bill’s body. The requirement for a Yarra Strategic Plan and community vision is underpinned by the Act.This role led the consultation and engagement process to support the development of the community vision and Yarra Strategic Plan. This included:• The design and delivery of an overarching consultation and engagement strategy (and identified tools/techniques) for the project.• Developing and implementing innovative engagement approaches with identified partner organisations, including State Library Victoria, Victoria Walks, Yarra Projects and the Geography Teachers Association of Victoria. • Working collaboratively with Traditional Owners.• Coordination of project communications, including online portal, social media/media support and visual communication tools.• Managing external contractors and suppliers, including engagement consultants, event managers, graphic design studio and videographer.• Stakeholder engagement with key project partners to maximise engagement opportunities and outcomes (including eight local councils and five Victorian Government agencies).• Coordinating the delivery of a collaborative 24 member 'community assembly', using a deliberative-style methodology to determine the final community vision for the river.

Yarra Libraries - the public library service of Yarra City Council - provides a inclusive environment where community members can meet their educational, information and recreational needs.Working closely with the Manager of Library Services, this fixed term contract role lead the development and implementation of Yarra Libraries' community and stakeholder engagement approach, through strategies that support community development outcomes identified in the City of Yarra's Council Plan, Library Strategy and Learning Framework.The role lead the development of relationships with relevant council departments, community groups, learning providers, service providers and other stakeholders to establish and maintain sustainable partnerships which enhance the delivery of library services and programs.The role also provided strategic advice and direction to members of the Community Learning and Partnerships team through the provision of effective leadership, including resolving problems, mentoring, managing performance and supporting staff and team development.

The City of Melbourne's Neighbourhood Development Team worked to support vibrant and healthy neighbourhoods, where people flourish and realise their potential. My portfolio specifically worked with the communities within the inner north of the municipality to:* Improve civic participation – to support and build people’s participation in decision making structures, governance and civic activities that affect their lives and their community.* Support economic and educational participation – so that people are able to access the skills and knowledge to realise their potential through volunteering, lifelong learning and employment, and limit the barriers to getting involved.* Increase social participation and networks – encouraging connections within and across cultures, ages and interests, building a strong and resilient community.My work was built on a strong commitment to better understand the needs of local communities and had a focus on supporting vulnerable communities and ensuring a more inclusive approach to community engagement for the City.The position also provided internal support to help the organisation better understand local needs and aspirations; help to more successfully plan for Melbourne's rapidly changing population; and provide deeper community insights for projects such as the Future Melbourne 2026 community plan, the Arden Macaulay urban renewal area and planning for the delivery of Melbourne Metro rail tunnel.

Two month secondment within City of Melbourne's Neighbourhood Development Team, supporting a team of 10 during the transition into a new branch within the organisation - Placemaking and Engagement. Roles supported included:* Neighbourhood Development officers, providing a whole of municipality place-based community development support;* 'Community Animators' situated within four different community hubs in the municipality, who developed community programming within each facility; and * A team of community hub support officers.

Capire Consulting Group works with organisations to ensure project and investment decisions have positive outcomes for their communities. Servicing the public policy, regional and urban development and infrastructure sectors; their work balances the world of the decision maker, project and community.Working as a consultant in the organisation for over five years, across multiple projects around Victoria, I brought skills in communications and community and stakeholder engagement, specialising in delivering strategies to assist the delivery of large scale infrastructure projects and urban planning processes. My role included the preparation and implementation of inclusive stakeholder and community engagement strategies, creative and thoughtful communication initiatives and issues management for urban planning, transport and social policy projects from around the State. Working with O'Donnell Griffin, Laing O'Rourke, the Department of Transport and rail operators in an Alliance to deliver this major project to improve reliability and capacity on the network, I delivered the stakeholder engagement strategy and program for the duration of the project, from the successful tender process to completion of works.I worked closely with the local community, commuters and key stakeholders to help deliver the project on time, with minimal disruption and to help ensure the it adds significant value to the communities of Sunbury and Diggers Rest. The community engagement strategy also designed and delivered a series of 'community legacy outcomes', including a youth partnership prgram (leading to several job placements for local young people) and several public art projects delivered in conjunction with RMIT's Master of Public Art program, with the support of community organisations and the local Digger Rest primary school.
