I am a native of the Tidewater area and a product of both Chesapeake and Virginia Beach Public Schools. I’ve enjoyed over 13 years of success in public education as an educator and building administrator. I earned a Bachelors from Old Dominion (Go Monarchs!), a Masters from George Washington University, and a Doctorate from Virginia Tech in policy and leadership (Go Hokies!). My dissertation topic focused on current sustainable features of new facilities and energy saving practices utilized in school buildings. The study received the Outstanding Dissertation Award from The International Society of Educational Planners.I’ve always enjoyed helping people, and worked with kids and families throughout my career in education. The experience with my dissertation work helped me build a new respect and passion for architecture and eco-friendly structures, which eventually lead to my interest in real estate. A turning point in my career occurred in 2016, when I was offered a leadership position in the Colorado Rockies that would require me and my family to move half way across the country. I was also comtemplating changing careers and moving into real estate. Either opportunity was going to require a bold decision. Ultimately, I decided to stay in the area where I could stay close to family and establish The Marable Realty Team. I love helping clients find the perfect home for their families, stay involved with community, and support teachers through our Teacher Appreciation Program.Teamwork and client-centered service are the cornerstones of my philosophy in providing an exceptional experience for buyers and sellers. My background in education and leadership have assisted me in developing valuable skills that help serve my clients in the ever-changing real estate market.
