I am continuing my ecohydrology work with the WSU Puyallup REC.Responsible for generating deliverable data files, reports, and presentations to partners.Collect data using autonomous sensing technology.Troubleshoot and repair field data collection equipment.Annual attendee at the Ecological Society of America conference since 2022.

I use historical and contemporary statistical and spatial data to parameterize simulation models of forest succession post-1980 on Mount St. Helens. I'm responsible for running simulations and validating model performance as well as assisting with completion and dissemination of scientific products resulting from the project.

I scan and digitize hard copy environmental survey data to produce a queryable dataset for future research needs. I've developed databases for stream, vegetation, and wildlife data from Mount St. Helens and the PNWRS. My computer and organization skills are critical in this work for processing, labeling, and sorting maps and data forms. My communication and time management skills are also particularly useful since the work is entirely remote. I approach this work by aiming to develop databases that might be useful to researchers 100-300 years in the future.

Conducting research in habitat restoration and forest carbon while learning methods in forest measurement, modeling, and carbon accounting.- Gained proficiency with and used FVS to build carbon and growth-and-yield models with proprietary tree inventory databases and performed statistical analyses using RStudio with the LME4 package, and built graphs using R, JMP, and JASP.- Managed more than $2,000 in grant awards from the Ecological Society of America, Evergreen State College, and Northwest Scientific Association supporting the research.- Presented the project in Montreal, Quebec, Canada at the Ecological Society of America Conference, as well as virtually for the Northwest Scientific Association.

Adaptive team member responding to hazardous chemical, fire, and biological emergencies and environmental remediation, especially as it relates to water quality impact, railroads and locomotives, and the U.S. Oil Industry. Maintained cross-organizational relationships with clients and government agencies. Traveled nationwide for as long as fourteen days while working remotely to ensure all stakeholder success criteria are met and satisfied.

I stepped into this role to help a family friend after her husband passed away. While I was there, I managed over $300,000 in landscaping contracts for homeowners and businesses, including project scope design and communication, budgeting, and timely delivery of service. I also oversaw hiring and training of new personnel, and supervision of team members conducting landscape services to ensure all success criteria were met or exceeded.

Served as a Crew Member on a Restoration Crew partnered with the City of Tacoma's urban forestry program before being promoted to Assistant Supervisor, and supervising four crew members implementing habitat restoration work. Primary responsibilities included communicating project scope and details between my team and our superiors, regular reporting of milestone progress and deliverables, and tool inventory and maintenance. Additional highlights include a capital wetland restoration project on the historic Flett Creek, regulating the drainage of nearly 1,000 acres of surrounding residential property; certifications in first aid, mental health first aid, HAZWOPER, CESCL and Saws 212; and additional leadership training provided by the program.

Assisted program management teams with administration, communications, logistics, and planning and events coordination. Primary responsibilities included data entry and reconciling our member database, timekeeping, and budgets; preparing outreach material and representing the program at workshops and job fairs; and assisting field supervisors with administrative tasks and IT. Experienced working with shared work platforms such as Sharepoint and Partnerweb. Received professional training in Microsoft Excel. Additional highlights include coordinating activities at three training events held annually by the program.

The Washington Conservation Corps is a job training program for young adults, funded by Americorps, and nested within the Washington State Department of Ecology's Shoreline and Environmental Assistance program. In this position, I collaborated with a team of other field crew members to implement habitat restoration work for agency partners including the Washington State Department of Ecology, Department of Natural Resources, and Fish and Wildlife; Cities of Tacoma, Orting, Puyallup, Fife, and Lakewood; as well as Thurston, Pierce, King, and Kitsap counties. We also worked with a number of local, national and international non-profit organizations including Washington Trails Association, Worldvision, American Red Cross, Team Rubicon, Habitat for Humanity, Forterra, and the Sierra Club.Primary work responsibilities included heavy labor in sensitive ecosystems using best management practices (BMP) for removal of non-native species, herbicide application, wetland restoration, erosion control, and trail maintenance.Additional highlights include cross-functional collaboration, facilitation and management of volunteers, a 30-day emergency response to the Smokey Mountain Forest Fire in 2018, professional training in grant writing and mycology, and HAZWOPER, CESCL, and first aid certifications.
