I have served the small business, startup, and artist communities since launching my own practice in 2009, and as Business Counsel at startup-focused law firm Fort Point Legal P.C. I have experience structuring organizations from formation to dissolution, negotiating, drafting, and revising the contracts that make businesses tick, and litigating disputes when relationships break down. An unabashed intellectual property nerd, I also help clients leverage copyright, trademark and trade secret protections to develop their products, grow their brands, and succeed in the marketplace.In 2017, I joined Casner & Edwards as part of the firm's acquisition of Fort Point Legal P.C., and continue to represent the entrepreneur community. Since joining Casner & Edwards, my practice has also grown to include the representation of mature, closely-held businesses and representation of buyers and sellers in M&A transactions.

In my time with this organization I have regularly staffed the Lawyer For The Day project at Boston Housing Court, providing tenants facing eviction with information and advice as well as representation in both mediation and before the Court.

Working with this organization I regularly participated in a clinic at the women’s shelter Rosie’s Place conducting intake interviews, providing referrals, and dispensing legal information. Moreover, working on my own, I am represented clients with regards to a child custody dispute and the obtainment of a housing transfer from the Boston Housing Authority. Finally, I also successfully represented a client in a hearing before the Social Security Administration.

In this position I drafted concise case holding summaries for the Bloomberg Legal Search Tool and performed quality assurance review of the work product of others.

As a Student Attorney I conducted client interviews and maintained continuing client relationships, prepared motions and pleadings for submission, pursued the waiver of an alleged Social Security overpayment, and sought Veterans Benefits and life insurance payouts on behalf of clients.
