Worked on the core team of engineers responsible for developing: (a) the custom JS widget framework that powered the individual widgets on the page, and (b) the mod_perl web server backend that received chunks of behavioral data from the client-side tracking app and rendered the proper HTML skeleton for the page.• Lead engineer on SearchScout, a high-volume, international mod_perl search applicationSearchScout called for paid/sponsored search results in realtime from third party XML APIs (e.g. Overture, NexTag, and Shopping.com), parsed the results, and displayed them in a search results interface. In addition to US & UK, SearchScout was also launched in Korea and Japan, so the application included full Unicode support.
