    I became a member of the Neurology team working under the Director of Stroke at UCLA Medical from my work with Machine Learning, Computer Vision and server technology design skills. Our team used advanced techniques to predict and detect many feature sets from medical images (MRIs and CT). During my tenure with the Neurovascular Imaging Research Core group I have designed, developed and managed the following platforms and applications:Perfusion (delivery of blood) - using an initial perfusion map of stroke patient on admittance to the hospital to predict day 6 tissue damage in the brain using convolutional neural networks. This prediction can help determine tissue plasminogen activator administration and clot removal risk of hemorrhaging. Stroke Cloud (strokecloud.neurology.ucla.edu) - is a web based portal that, via the client’s browser, allows the drag and drop of medical image files (DICOM) that are in-browser anonymized and transmitted along with medical meta data to UCLA medical servers for storage and indexing. These images, once in the platform, can have various advanced imaging processing techniques applied i.e. perfusion mapping for CT scans. The platform was successful in achieving all HIPAA and security compliance checks and reviews.Backup system - the system using Node.js runs on a Cray server and performs a nightly incremental backup of all the lab machines using rsync and ssh commands that are transaction logged into a MySQL database. A front-end to the system is provided using PHP and Apache for visual monitoring and report statuses.Site coordinator for a large stroke based medical study consisting of a cohort of 4900+ patients with 6.5 million medical images across 21 countries.
