I have worked extensively in the area of biomaterials in terms of: Developing bioactive glass compositions to fit specific biological needs, Developing novel scaffold architectures for both hard and soft tissue engineering applications, Bioactive glasses and materials for wound healing, Scaffolds specific for tissue guiding,Materials and scaffold property testing and analysis, In-vivo implantation of scaffolds (calvarial and subcutaneous),Histology of biological samples, and facilitated a human clinical trial.I also have worked to commercialize products for the Wound Care, Orthopedic, Dental, and Spine industries.My latest activity is acting as an organizer on behalf of the American Ceramics Society for the new Bioceramics Division.
