At the epicentre of all the major datacentre M&A activity and many of the software migration projects for the last 5 ½ years. Running projects for the architecture and implementation teams. Involved in the project management and design of all DC based systems to very detailed specifications. During my time at AJG, I oversaw a £2 million strategic dual production datacentre migration project for over 4000 users.

Reporting to the project board and orchestrating staff and site technicians, I was brought in for a repeat contract to reignite a failing migration project for Symantec Enterprise Vault due to my past knowledge of Exchange and Vaulting solutions.

Working for City Index on WinTel projects in a high-pressure trading environment, I was constantly in demand to quickly produce fixes and improvements for multiple legacy environments to excellent standards. Upgrade of W2K3 domain to W2K8 R2, Redesign of AD, new GPO redesign. Other core systems included: Exchange 2003 servers, Postini and Mailmarshal, AD, DNS and DHCP management. Troubleshooting and expansion of the XenServer Citrix environment. Creating policies for streamlining satellite offices. I designed and built a replacement environment for the core multi-site clustered SQL trading system.

Using my experience of trading exchanges and markets in the city and my ability to create and manage IT solutions, I worked at a start-up and project managed the development of a website and the launch of a business to trade media commodities directly over the internet. Launched in March ’10, This site was decommissioned and sold in 2011 for its unique city trading style functionality.

Working with Citrix 4.5, Vmware ESX 3 and Legato Networker 1.3.0. I am currently providing development and BAU solutions, as well as providing a high level of support for an existing environment.

Various contracts for this reseller over the years, I provided consultancy for the design and implementation of multiple unique infrastructure upgrades. Implement new storage servers, migration of data, web access to data sources, Exchange 2003 migrations, ISA 2006 configuration, secured via Windows Certificate Authority, work also included SQL 2000 migration.

Working in a small team of specialists, I successfully designed and delivered infrastructure for a mission critical global asset management system codenamed “Project Hero”. Running in dual Tier 1 UK DC’s, the design was scalable to support the expanding Citrix\SQL platform, rapid site failover through Veritas clustering. I designed the deployment and backup of the OS, multi-server scripting changes. Responsible for consulting engineers and vendor services.

Third-line support, server infrastructure design solutions for a multinational blue chip company. I implemented Altiris (HP RDP), scripts for monitoring and data handling the enterprise backup solution. Set up and maintained the Exchange environment, print server migration & DR.
