I led the Development team at Brown Bob and helped establish their new label (Brown Bob Cymru) in Cardiff.

I’ve devised factual and fact-ent formats for UK and International Broadcasters, work with established in-house brands to take advantage of key talent and advise on matters of development strategy. This includes winning several high volume and high profile commissions for Channel 4 and Channel 5.

I led the Factual and Fact-Ent development for Remarkable TV. I secured several ambitious paid development projects and a TX pilot for Channel 4. COMMISSIONS: THE FAKEOVER/NEW YOU (wt). A TX pilot for Channel 4. INSIDE CHERNOBYL WITH BEN FOGEL for Channel 5. A 6-part popular factual formatted series for C4 funded by IKEA.

I led development for VICE Studios, working alongside their EMEA editorial and digital teams to devise new documentaries, Formats and Factual Entertainment for TV, Online and streaming platforms. COMMISSIONS: MURDER OF CHARLENE DOWNS for Channel 5, CHANGE INC (an anti-smoking platform).

Since joining my previous bosses from Princess Productions at their new venture Hitchhiker I have played an integral role in shaping the business plan and development priorities of this new company. I have established a skilled development team capable of working across a number of genres, decided which key commissioning teams to target and forged relationships with new department heads, genre commissioners and on-screen talent resulting in the signing of several development deals from national treasure comics, to emerging You Tube stars. I have been responsible for structuring our development process, scheduling the team as well as devising and developing new entertainment, comedy-ents, factual and Fact-Ent formats and series, pitching to senior commissioning figures at the BBC, Channel 4 and ITV. In under a year I have secured a number of paid developments and non TX pilots for the new company, many of which are on the verge of being commissioned. This includes a comedy-ents panel show for Sky, a formatted show for E4 and a Saturday night entertainment show for ITV.

Here I developed new factual and Fact-Ent formats, pitching to senior commissioning figures at the BBC, Channel 4 and ITV. I was responsible for creating a comprehensive development plan and hiring development & funded development staff as they made the shift from a typically Specialist Factual producer to Popular Factual. During my time at DSP I secured three commissions, MADE IN BRITAIN (BBC TWO), PROJECT INTERIORS WT (BBC TWO/NETFLIX) and AN ISLAND PARISH: AFTER THE HURRICANE (BBC TWO).

My responsibility here was new factual and Fact-Ent formats, pitching to senior commissioning figures at the BBC, Channel 4 and ITV, and hiring development & funded development, staff. During my time at Princess we secured a number of high profile commissions including Taxi of Mum and Dad and The Mash Report on BBC Two.

My role includes responsibility for devising, developing and pitching new and innovative programme ideas to broadcasters including Channel 4, the BBC, ITV, FIVE and BBC Worldwide. Managing the Development team, building relationships with key pieces of talent and senior commissioning figures and reacting to steers from various broadcasters. Securing development funds from both broadcasters and distributors. Hiring production talent for funded development projects and managing those projects. Commissions included Phone Swap for BBC Three.

As part of the development team at Studio Lambert I worked across a number of programme ideas for Channel 4, the BBC, ITV, as well as a number of Discovery Owned Channels in Northern Europe. I produced taster tapes, wrote treatments and help manage more junior members of the team.

As part of the Development team for Features Formats & Daytime, i worked across a number of ideas for BBC One, Two and BBC BRIT. I pitched to senior commissioning editors and channel controllers, wrote treatments and produced, directed and shot taster tapes.

My role at Potato has been to establish the factual side of the development team. Potato produces a range of programmes including Britain’s Secret Treasures, I Never Knew That About Britain, The Big Reunion and The Chase. My responsibilities include managing a team of 3 researchers and 2 AP’s, producing taster tapes, managing funded development projects, writing pitch documents and pitching to commissioners. Since joining the team I have helped secure a number of commissions and funded development projects.

My role includes the development of Factual and Fact-Ent formats, features and documentaries across all the major broadcasters including Five, BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Sky One, Living and Discovery. I am looking at access driven documentary series, lifestyle based features and formats, including food, property, consumer and makeover and authored documentaries based around outstanding individuals and current affairs. I am also responsible for producing tasters for formats, features, documentary ideas and new talent.

My role includes the development of Factual and Fact-Ent formats, features and documentaries across all the major broadcasters including Five, BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Sky One, Living and Discovery. I am looking at access driven documentary series, lifestyle based features and formats, including food, property, consumer and makeover and authored documentaries based around outstanding individuals. I am also responsible for producing tasters for formats, features, documentary ideas and new talent.

My role includes filming various operations/raids with the Essex Police, devising appropriate storylines to follow, directing the talent and rigging officer's with body and in-car cameras.

I was responsible for developing several areas of business for BBC Birmingham, in particular Factual output such as Coast as well as formats and features on BBC One, BBC Two, BBC Three and Daytime. to set up shoots and provide information on complex historical topics. I liaised with academics as well as the series producer to help establish the arc of the series.

My role has included: the writing of pitch documents, the filming and directing of taster tapes and pilots, the pitching of ideas to commissioners and channel controllers, and the running of brainstorms and creative sessions within the department.

To Buy or Not To Buy; I directed the property show on multi-camera shoots, with a combination of scripted PTC's and actuality. I was responsible for a crew of nine plus the two contributors. As well as directing the shoot I led the week long edit , wrote VO for the finished programmes and cleared music and archive for the final show.
