About Steven Cantwell, M. Ed.

I am a compassionate, diverse professional with a unique mixture of experience as a former collegiate track athlete, mentor, and coach. From an early age I knew that I wanted to be a teacher because my high school track coach was such an incredible and positive role model for me. He showed me that regardless of where you come from that you are not a product of your environment and that if you want anything in this life, if you are willing to work hard enough you can accomplish anything. That is what I hope to instill in my students, to let them know that the only limitations are the ones they put on themselves. I want to be a positive role model for my students and someone they can confide in. My experiences in addition to an educational background in criminal justice provide a positive and structured learning environment for my students. I am motivated and committed to living a life of purpose and devotion to my students. I have a proven track record that displays my hard work and impeccable work ethic from my days as a high school track athlete, to my days as a collegiate track athlete and even to this day. My deepest passion inspired by my own past and recovery as a competitive athlete and as someone who is living life missing my right leg is to show my students that despite life throwing circumstances at you that are not in your control, no adversity is to great.I am committed to collaborating with my colleagues and my students to obtain the most efficient, optimal, and positive leaning experience possible. I am a strong, dedicated and organized individual with a strong passion for my students.
