As the Manager of Community Outreach at the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission, I am devoted to developing initiatives that promote inclusivity and provide support to communities disproportionately impacted by marijuana-related offenses. My role involves strategic collaboration with the Director of Equity Programming and Community Outreach, driving outreach efforts to engage a diverse range of stakeholders, including patients, licensees, government officials, minorities, women, veterans, and farmers.With extensive experience in policy analysis, public policy, and program management, I utilize my expertise to further social justice, equity, and inclusion within the cannabis industry and beyond. My academic pursuits include a Master of Public Policy at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, which complements my practical experience by deepening my skills in public management, policy formulation, and stakeholder engagement.Before stepping into my current role, as a Project Coordinator at the Commission, I played a pivotal role in equity programming initiatives, including the Social Equity Program and the Host Community Agreement, and Access and Equity Working Groups, where I helped shape regulation changes in line with recent legislative reforms. My extensive professional history also spans roles such as Reintegration Coordinator, Assessment Social Worker, and LGBTQIA+ Western Regional Coordinator, where I honed my advocacy, re-entry services, and community outreach skills.Previously, I managed the Worcester Re-entry Support Center, where I led initiatives to increase program visibility and facilitated partnerships with local agencies to support re-entry services. This role underscored my commitment to reintegrating individuals into society and reducing recidivism through strategic community engagement and support services.Outside of work, I serve as the Executive Director and Western MA Regional Board Member with EasterSeals MA and was a member of the Springfield City Council's Subcommittee on Labor and Workforce Development. These roles allow me to extend my impact and advocate for policy changes that benefit diverse communities.
