Support the Superintendent of the assigned vessels by ensuring that alladministrative systems, records, reports and analysis of operations are properly maintainedand available for scrutiny.Key Responsibilities and Tasks:• Accurate input of vessel and office requisitions to the Company system and clarify any additional information as required in a timely and reliable manner with vessels in charge.• Select suppliers form the approved supplier lists, issue enquiries and orders, using group contracts where applicable. Pay special attention to fast-track items.• Liaise closely with Superintendent on purchasing, repairs / services and budget matters.• Coordinate delivery of ship spares, stores and arrange repairs / service son authorization from Superintendent and provide prompt advice if any problems.• Provide the vessel and the vessel’s agent’s factual information regarding the spares, stores or service attendance arranged for the vessel at port.• Follow progress of the delivery of orders / service request onboard; resolve any discrepancies, as advised by the vessel or Superintendent with suppliers.• Receive invoices, review for accuracy and manage within the scope of the procedures and pass to the accounts department for payment. Any discrepancies to be brought to the notice of the Superintendent / Fleet Manager.• To receive all the reports, form the ship, distribute and file electronically in a timely manner. To maintain a record of all required reports weekly / monthly /quarterly basis received for the assigned vessels.• To maintain an accurate and updated record of vessel’s certificates, survey status and documentation.

Based in Malta within the Ta' Xbiex area, I have been tasked to look after 2 oil tankers part of the Virtu Ferries Fleet. Looking after all aspects of maintenance on the vessels. Having strong communication skills with the vessels conducting their port calls in Mediterranean waters. Other responsibilities include: • Report to Fleet Director• 24/7 Mentality • Responsible for day to day running of the vessel • Maintain Vessels in class, compliant with statutory requirements and company policies. Implement relevant new regulations • Maintain Vessels in accordance with the planned maintenance system specific to vessel and with good engineering practices • Attend vessel during surveys, audits and flag/port state inspections• Attend vessel during dry dock and emergency repairs • Visit vessel on a regular basis if in local waters and every quarter is vessel is operating overseas• Liaise with operations or charterer to minimize down time • Liaise with crew manager for crew changes and appraise Masters and C/Eng • Report from on condition of vessels every quarter • Monitor day to day running of vessels• Monitor Class status and arrange class attendance when required • Compile technical budgets. Monitor spending with quarterly reporting • Receive, sign and confirm spares and stores requisitions for deck and engine room • Liaise with company secretary to procure spares and stores • Dry dock vessel at local yards or abroad if required • Compile dry dock and repair specifications, seek quotes for cost of repairs from yards locally and abroad, present cost of repairs to owners.

Communication with contactors is critical to have the 1-2 day period go successfully.
