My name is Steven Nicholas Colborne. I’m a multi-passionate creative and my work focuses on helping people to explore matters of philosophy and religion.After graduating with first-class honours in Commercial Music from the University of Westminster in 2003, I secured a job working in promotions for Beggars Group in the music industry. I had been heavily involved in music as a teenager, working in a music shop and recording and touring with the progressive metal band Marconi's Voodoo in which I was lead songwriter and guitarist. At Beggars Group, I was involved in promoting high profile as well as new and emerging artists, and I worked on campaigns for Prodigy, Pixies, Dizzee Rascal, M.I.A., Basement Jaxx, Devendra Banhart, Oceansize, Biffy Clyro and many others.My career in the music industry continued at Motion Group where I was appointed New Media Marketing Manager. In charge of a small team, I helped deliver marketing campaigns for a large roster of clients that included the record labels !K7, Brille, Playlouder Recordings, Integral, Albert Recordings and others.Mental health problems in my twenties caused me to reexamine my life and career. I became a Christian and transitioned from the music industry to the charity sector, beginning with a nine-month stint as a street fundraiser for Greenpeace and continuing with paid roles as Office Administrator at Age UK Oxfordshire and Befriending Coordinator at Imagine Independence. I also undertook voluntary work for various charities, including Crisis, Spires and Sue Ryder.I returned to study in 2010, graduating with a postgraduate certificate in Philosophy and Religion from the University of London in 2012. I proceeded to embark on a career as a self-publishing author and content creator, writing sixteen books in the Philosophical Theology genre and creating two albums of music, several video series, 500+ blog articles and more.I'm now working to expand the reach of my creative work while producing new work that helps others to deepen their relationship with God.
