The Senior QA ingeniør works extremely closely with the Quality Gruppeleder to ensure the quality of all deliverables from Lyse Plattform. Working with design, PO and Development disciplines to spread awareness and knowledge of quality first best practices within the respective verticals, and also working directly with project teams, where needed, to assist in ensuring the quality of deliverables.Analysing project level risks to be able to quantify them, and communicating these to management and stakeholders, while also working on mitigations and solutions with delivery teams for these risks and resultant issues.Quality discipline training and communication across the department and helping to improve the way of working for everyone, where we can identify efficiencies and improvements via initiatives.

The Lead Quality Architect works closely with the discipline Quality Architects (Security, Performance, Functional and Non-Functional) to drive the technical and strategic quality strategy and decisions. Together they assess and identify the mitigation activities involved with functional releases. The Lead Quality Architect also sits on the overall Product Development Architect Board as the champion of QA within the department’s technical architecture team.

Working with the Business, Development and Quality Engineering teams to promote and support building and delivering quality software.Contributing to the full SDLC by being active through requirements, architecture, design, development, testing and customer support.Responsibilities include:• Work with business analysts and product architects to review requirements and identify areas of risks to the quality of the product.• Review architectures and detailed designs to ensure risks are considered and are mitigated.• Communicate risks and mitigation plans to management and architects.• Champion software quality in the Product Development organisation.• Educate and mentor all disciplines (Business, Development, Test) on quality best practices, approaches, tooling, processes, etc.• Contribute to root cause analysis of quality problems, covering product and process, to support continuous improvement of our teams and organisation.• Participate to the investigation, diagnosis and solution of customer support issues related to quality.• Review customer support issues and customer feedback to identify any missed quality risks and areas of improvement.• Provide inputs to the functional and non-functional testing teams, including requirements, risks, processes, tooling and guidance.• Lead business and development testing practices to get early feedback (Push-Left).• Re-Architect Automation approach, including processes, guidance and tooling.

Responsible for consistency in approach for QA application of a new automation framework, tooling and processes, ensuring best practices are utilised.As part of this, the solution to each automatable item provided to QA needs to be as efficient as possible, and reusable across projects. Working closely with offshore teams in India and China, as well as the onshore team here to provide a robust solution that will support the future products also.

• Working directly as part of the TE Maintenance team.• Management of application streams, inc. planning, estimation, tracking and reporting of issues in JIRA.• Training of new staff into the team and management of resources’ time and activities for managed streams.• Writing test cases, test suites and updating existing test suites.• Working with a development team to solve key problems using development knowledge and expertise.• Retesting, reporting and advancement of defects to closure.• Multi-platform testing and use of deployment skills/knowledge.• Working to extremely tight deadlines for quick turnarounds of releases and builds.
