As a Manager in the Human Resource department I was responsible for the human resource initiatives across the Pacific Area for the administration offices of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was responsible to ensure the finance, construction, facilities management, purchasing and HR employees in the organisation were best practice and were acquiring suitable qualifications. I also managed the Perpetual Education Fund across developing Pacific Island Nations to assist young people to learn skills to find employment or run small businesses. I managed the grants to assist young people receive primary and secondary education as well as the grants to help young people pursue tertiary qualifications at Brigham Young University in Hawaii.

I worked three years as Clipsal Australia's Senior Writer and AV Producer in their inhouse advertsing agency. Commissioned to help Clipsal move from a trade to a consumer focused organisation. I led a team of writers and designers to develop communications strategies for management. I used the disciplines of PR, event management, web design, multimedia, advertising and video production.

For seven years I was Adelaide Bank's Advertising Officer to manage the bank’s Advertising agencies. I worked closely with external agencies like Ogilvy & Mather and later KWP to produce the bank's television, radio and other commercials. I also worked with senior management to edit and produce the bank’s annual reports. I set up the Bank’s internal desktop publishing department to produce range of printed communications and managed all the bank’s sponsorships, major events and philanthropic foundation’s communication. I was responsible for writing and producing all material not put through the bank’s advertising agency. I wrote newsletters, leaflets and posters for local branch marketing and printed publications. I wrote and directed two videos to be screened at the bank's end of year Christmas functions.

As Promotions Manager Steve was responsible to work with local businesses and government departments to develop on air campaigns and promotional initiatives. He was responsible for organising outside broadcasts, special events, on air competitions and to create opportunities to raise funds for the station and raise its profile in th ecommunity. In addition Steve was responsible for the writing and producing of on air promotional spots and working with creatives and programme producers to deliver on air content.
