I started in the space as loan reporter for Gold Sheets in the early 1990s just as market was embarking on its remarkable journey from a backwater, to a one-trillion-dollar-plus asset class. Since then, I have had the good fortune to work with excellent teams to build businesses that have become essential providers of news, data, benchmarks, software and analytical tools for leveraged credit market participants. Career highlights: —CEO of Fulcrum Financial Data LLC, a portfolio company of Leeds Equity Partners. Integrated and reorganized Fulcrum’s four founder-driven businesses, and drove strong revenue/margin growth. In 2018, led a sales process for Fulcrum, via Houlihan Lokey, that drew a large number of robust strategic and private-equity bids. Fitch Information Services, a unit of the Hearst Corporation, ultimately acquired Fulcrum in a transaction that generated significant shareholder return.—Co-founder and CEO of Portfolio Management Data LLC (predecessor to LCD); Acquired by Standard & Poor's in 2000. —Founding investor in, and board chair of, Black Mountain Systems; Acquired by Stone Point Capital in 2015 and subsequently by Vista Equity Partners in 2019.—Founding investor in, and advisor to, LoanX; Acquired by IHS Markit in 2003.
