Steven Cunningham is an experienced software engineer with a passion for creating innovative solutions for complex problems. After recently completing a PhD in Computer Science he is now interested in finding work that has more than just ordinary challenges.Steven has undertaken projects and gained experience in a wide variety of programming languages and techniques across both his academic and professional experience. Starting out at Connell Wagner (now Aurecon) in the final year of his software engineering degree, in which he achieved first class honours, he contributed to the development of internal systems and assisted with the adoption of automated project testing during development. After being accepted to the PhD program he decided that he would be best served by initially concentrating on it full time. Partway through the program an opportunity arose to be part of the design and development of a student feedback capture system. Steven ended up being the primary developer on the project which ended up creating a novel method whereby feedback was automatically associated with the part of the material that was being viewed at the time.Towards the end phases of the PhD program, Steven obtained his current employment with Jenham Solutions and has been an integral part of the development of multiple database systems. These systems have resulted in significant productivity improvements and savings for multiple clients. In particular he was the lead developer for an invoice entry and tracking system that resulted in a redesigned process that is both faster and less error-prone and is currently the lead developer for a capital works capture and planning system that is enabling the visualisation and prioritisation, including external constraints, of many year's worth of works into an annual plan.
