I am a 2L at the University of Kentucky J. David Rosenberg College of Law. In May of 2023, I graduated summa cum laude from Transylvania University with a Bachelor of Arts in accounting with minors in political science and philosophy.I looked to supplement my undergraduate education with internship and fellowship experiences that would provide me greater insight into the realities of corporate governance, policy development, foreign and domestic regulatory environments, and the relationship between the private sector and Congress. To date, these experiences include a legislative fellowship with the Government Affairs team of Citizens’ Climate Lobby in Washington, D.C. and an international corporate tax internship with Brown-Forman Corporation in Louisville, KY.On campus, I directed my development as a leader within organizations that reflected my values—and founded new organizations where relevant voids existed. My proudest accomplishment came with the formation of a new student organization, Transy Speaks, in fall of 2021. I created Transy Speaks to facilitate monthly debates on politics, philosophy, and campus concerns, bringing together students, faculty, and alumni of diverse perspectives for constructive dialogues. As a senator with our Student Government Association, I organized a campus-wide Sustainability Pitch Competition, challenging students to devise ways to creatively expand our campus’s sustainability efforts. I facilitated the event through a partnership with Transy’s Center for Entrepreneurship—an organization with which I also serve as an advisory Fellow. I am also currently serving my third consecutive term as Vice President of Community Outreach for the Transylvania Environmental Action League. I was also treasurer for the Beta Mu chapter of Delta Sigma Phi for FY21. I was ultimately tasked with reconciling significant debts and restoring the chapter’s financial stability. I thrived in the position and was given honors for my service to the chapter. In May of 2022, I was called into service again in the role of interim treasurer to address a new variety of debts the chapter had accrued after the conclusion of my FY21 term. In both of my terms, I was challenged to apply my education in accounting and finance to address real life financial mismanagement.I am interested in litigation—particularly opportunities concerning environmental/natural resources law, business law, intellectual property law, civil rights, and public policy.
