Owns the technical strategy for Software as a Service (SaaS) business with strong capability in telemetry for remote monitoring and control (Internet of Things / IoT). Spidertracks develop portable aircraft tracking products that communicate over the Iridium network. Thiscontract role was to inherit an incomplete product-development project and drive it to completion, takingshape predominantly in firmware features and end-to-end testing.• Oversaw pre-production refinements to the electronic and firmware system architectures for the S6 and S7 satellite-based aircraft tracking products, including recommendations for hardware revisions.• Developed specifications for system and feature-level developments with implementation with FreeRTOSin C.• Undertook rigorous testing to meet the compliance requirements for hardware on the Iridium network aswell as product requirements in the aviation industry.• Made technical recommendations to external hardware and software consultants to ensure solutionreliability / robustness.
