I spent one year cruising the US in a decked out Ram Promaster van and backpacking through South America and Central Europe - 22 states/30 national parks/13 countries and 860 miles hiked. A full year of learning, basking in nature, and connecting with cultures around the world.

- Created curriculum for the first creative writing course in school history to engage and inspire 170 8th Graders at Miami-Dade County Public Schools.- Led the implementation of a school-wide writing plan that resulted in a 54 percent improvement in passing scores on the 8th Grade Writing Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT).
