I work with compelling founders across verticals and sectors to grow their customer bases. I am presently researching and consulting on Growth as a function and how to scale effective Growth teams and structures within organizations.I've led teams to grow two companies to $1+ billion plus valuations (SoFi, LogMeIn/GoTo). Currently Program Chair for the M.S. in Digital Marketing & Design program at Brandeis University and advising a number of companies.Past operating roles: VP, Marketing at SoFi, the largest provider of student loan refinancing, plus mortgages and personal loans, where we scaled lending roughly 30x to $8 billion in less than three years. I served as VP, Online Marketing and Operations at LogMeIn (now GoTo), where I developed the customer acquisition and lead conversion strategy as well as implemented analytics and automation technologies. I was the first outside marketing hire and subsequently launched LogMeIn's European marketing program from Budapest, Hungary. More recently, I co-founded and led Marketing at Amava, a platform to help older adults stay active and engaged.I've also been an Entrepreneur in Residence at Trinity Ventures and 500 Startups. I've mentored for Reforge, Endeavor Entrepreneurs, Thiel Fellows, and Stanford Graduate School of Business Startup Garage. As an investor, I served as a partner at Richmond Global, where I helped portfolio companies with customer acquisition and led an investment in 15Five, and I worked at Catamount Ventures, where I drove an investment in TenMarks (subsequently acquired by Amazon).In my spare time, I serve on the advisory board of One for the World, an organization revolutionizing charitable giving to reduce extreme poverty. I just completed a six year term on the 130-year old Astronomical Society of the Pacific to promote worldwide interest in astronomy.
