Steven also completed required reports to the Grantees in a timely and accurate manner. Lastly, he assisted in recruiting, interviewing and orienting teachers, interns and volunteers, providing them with guidance as needed.

    As part of the Culture for Change program, Steven assumed the role of educator, artist, and activist. He worked with a group of 10-12 high school students to produce installations for Boston Asian: Youth Essential Service. Following an artist's process of ideas, research, trial & error, and execution, during the spring of 2013, the group and he created a large twenty-four foot "dragon" with a theme of empowering beyond racism. Y.E.S. and Steven presented the piece to the community at large with a formal opening night in late-June. Culture for Change was initially sponsored by both the Boston Foundation and Barr Foundation, but became an official Barr project as of June '13.
