I am Steven Dsilva, pursuing a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Computer Engineering. Observing how each generation propels technological growth inspires me to contribute meaningfully to humanity’s progress. As a budding engineer, I am committed to fostering innovation that betters our world.I completed my schooling at Holy Cross English High School, Aurangabad, where I developed a strong foundation in values, attention to detail, and effective communication, shaping much of who I am today. During my HSC years at Deogiri Junior College, I became actively involved in my father’s initiative of organizing pilgrimages for devotees. I modernized this initiative by introducing online registrations, QR-based ID cards, and digital management of logistics and planning, significantly enhancing its efficiency and reach. This experience deepened my understanding of how digital solutions can transform traditional practices.Post-HSC, I joined MGM’s Jawaharlal Nehru Engineering College to pursue my passion for electronics and computer engineering. College life introduced me to new perspectives, diverse peers, and inspiring seniors whose achievements fueled my ambition. I became actively involved in various clubs and initiatives: •Google Developer Student Club (GDSC): I was one of only three first-year students selected as a Technical Team member, recognized officially by Google. This milestone allowed me to explore event management, graphic designing, and anchoring. •Mathematics Seminar Competitions: Representing my university at the district level, I secured 1st place for my presentation on “GPS and the Math Behind It.” Advancing to the Marathwada level, I placed 4th, gaining invaluable insights from peers. •Google Solutions Challenge: My team worked on the UN SDG of Good Health and Well-Being, and our project advanced to the India-Regional Level, where we were invited to Mumbai to present it. This experience honed my project development and ideation skills.In academics, I achieved an 8.5 GPA in my first year, further motivating me to excel.In my second year, I co-founded an Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell-JNEC) under the National Entrepreneurship Challenge by IIT Bombay, taking on the role of Design & Social Media Head. We organized various events, seminars, and competitions. This initiative taught me invaluable lessons in teamwork, event organization, and leadership.Looking ahead, I am eager to participate in more hackathons, innovation challenges, and collaborative opportunities to contribute to technological and societal advancement.
