Steven E. Kober is an executive financial officer with legendary industry-shaping merger, acquisition and board level experience. He led major deal initiatives that transformed traditional film and music businesses into global industry enterprises. He is uniquely positioned to leverage his intellectual property expertise in rapidly changing industry structures. As former Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Sony Corporation of America (SCA) he helped run Sony’s U.S. businesses and co-managed Sony’s U.S. headquarters, working closely with the Sony Tokyo headquarters on financial reporting, acquisitions, divestitures and investments. He was also responsible for overseeing business development, tax, treasury, information technology, real estate, facilities, procurement and aviation. Mr. Kober served as an officer and director of many of SCA’s subsidiaries. He served as Chairman of the Board of InterTrust Technologies Corporation, a company that develops and licenses intellectual property for digital rights management and trusted computing.
