Steven Feng joined the RWE Clean Energy Valhalla office as a Lead Energy Analyst in 2023 after working as a sustainability consultant at Boston Consulting Group and completing a Bachelors of Science in Statistics at Rice University. He is responsible for managing natural gas, wind, and solar-powered generators across the Northeastern US and California on behalf of clients, including offering and scheduling power and working closely with plant operations teams to ensure smooth transmission of electricity.Prior to RWE, Steven was an Associate in the Boston Consulting Group Houston office, working in a vast array of functional topics in the low-carbon solutions, hydrogen, and green power industries. As a student at Rice, Steven was heavily involved in data science research at Rice University and the UTHealth School of Biomedical Informatics, specifically in natural language processing and social media mining. Steven has professional experience working in power markets, trading desks, and hospital research centers, is proficient in SQL, R, and Python, and has a proven track record of working with clients all across the energy supply chain. In his free time, Steven enjoys trail running, road biking, watching Asian cinema, and keeping up with the blossoming Houston food scene.
