Leading the development of energy efficiency financing programs for commercial & industrial customers and real estate developers, such as Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE), On-Bill Finance (OBF) / On-Bill Repayment (OBR) and Energy Services Agreements (ESA) / Power Purchase Agreements (PPA).

Risk lead within cross-functional Business Development (M&A) deal team handling all aspects of risk management in the due diligence process, including the underwriting, structuring and execution of large portfolio, business and asset acquisitions and divestitures in the leasing and lending markets. Analytical review of lending and leasing portfolios and comparative analysis to similar GE businesses in preparation for negotiation and approval.

Dual responsibility for a 6 person team focused on project finance based in Norwalk, CT and a separate 4 to 6 person team supporting Canadian cash flow lending/leveraged finance based, generating $2.0B in funded debt and lease investments with over $2.0B syndicated, while managing a $1.2B portfolio• Evaluated more than 100 project financing opportunities (industrial, infrastructure and alternative energy transactions (e.g., ethanol, biomass, inside-the-fence cogeneration)), identifying viable projects and developing financeable structures (debt & lease). • Closed over $500MM of funded investments in leveraged and cash flow financings for Canadian companies.• Managed, as the Administrative Agent, a $700MM portfolio of project finance transactions and $500MM of senior debt and leases, including amendments and restructurings.• Successfully involved in origination/sourcing efforts as a subject matter expert demonstrating GE Capital’s project financing capabilities.• Completed, as Sole Mandated Lead Arranger (MLA) and Administrative Agent, the $880MM project financing for SeverCorr LLC to construct a steel mill, including negotiations with the Russian sponsor, federal and state agencies, the German export credit agency (ECA, Hermes) and international suppliers and contractors. • Managed, as Lead Investor and Administrative Agent, the due diligence process and negotiated project contracts for a $160MM waste paper recycling facility to be owned by the Port of Shreveport and leased to Pratt Paper. • Negotiated a $60MM financing for the acquisition of a project company operating a steel galvanizing facility.• Completed the due diligence and documentation to finance power plants located within three US steel mills.• Led a cross-functional team of GE engineering and legal resources for GE's first financing of intellectual property.

Underwrote and managed cash-flow/leveraged finance and project finance loans, leases and structured debt & equity investments, including distressed debt, in a broad array of industries; managed and developed junior team members. • Led two lease transactions totaling $350MM with multiple co-investors, one of which generated a $16MM negotiated gain upon early termination of the lease in order to permit sale of the lessee.• Selected for the teams implementing senior debt participation and distressed debt purchase programs, both of which generated significant funded investment volumes and income within two years.• Completed the initial second lien debt investment by business unit, generating a 20%+ return in two years.

Acting as an advisor to the business unit CFO and deal teams, provided technical accounting advisory services and developed structures for new project finance, lease and equity transactions and restructuring of energy, infrastructure and industrial project finance and equity portfolio accounts in order to maintain compliance with accounting rules.
