I am an "Indie" author, meaning I self-publish my books. I find the timeline is much quicker to market, more control, and I don't have to worry about rejection :-). There are some negatives, but I think overall, I find self-publishing to be a positive experience. Here is my Amazon Author page: https://www.amazon.com/Steven-Fujita/e/B003MHXDWA/ref=dp_byline_cont_book_1My published books:Novella, Samurai Vampire, Book II: Sword of the Undead, Bram Stoker's Dracula, re-written, but with a samurai lord as the vampire and the slayer, also a samurai warrior, historic swordsman, Yagyu Jubei. Non-fiction e-book, $10 a Day Towards $1,000,000. Retiring comfortably doesn't mean getting rich quick. Saving money regulary for a long time, combined with compounding, builds wealth. My new book, Toe Up top 10K, came about because of a spinal cord injury I suffered in 2012. It is about my recovery. It reached #1 bestseller status in the sub-category of spinal cord injury books on Amazon. This book also won the Gold Medal in the 2015 Reader's Favorite Book Awards in the category: non-fiction inspirational.

AuthorSteven Fujita Author Mar 2010 - PresentI am the author of the e-book novella, Samurai Vampire, Book II: Sword of the Undead, a personal finance e-book, $10 a day Towards $1,000,000. In September 2014, I published a book about my recovery from spinal cord injury. It is called Toe Up to 10K. -
Book AuthorToe Up To 10K Sep 2014 - Dec 2015In June 2012, Steven Fujita went to the emergency room, and was diagnosed with meningitis. After four days of improvement, he was scheduled to be discharged when his condition worsened dramatically. His blood pressure, body temperature and sodium levels all became dangerously low. He started to lose consciousness. He was rushed to the Intensive Care Unit. He had suffered spinal cord damage at the T4 level. Upon regaining full consciousness, Fujita could not speak, eat, breathe independently, control bodily functions, nor move his legs.“Once we understand what we have to go through, become resolved to see it through, and know we will survive, we feel our ordeal is not so bad,” Fujita writes. In this book, he takes the reader on a journey of recovery from a spinal cord injury. It is not only a journey of determination and hard work, but of positive attitude, of drawing inspiration, of gratitude towards those around him: his family, his friends, co-workers, and medical professionals.
