As a Field Service Manager, Steven is responsible for the implementation of SOPs and staff training in field maintenance of Flowlink real-time monitoring systems, including both temporary and permanent installations. Prior to joining Flowlink Environmental, Steven worked as Special Projects Manager & Environmental Team Lead at a BC water treatment company for 12 years. Having started as a water treatment technician, he acquired a technical know-how and troubleshooting experience with various sizes of pumps, clarifiers, oil-water separators, sand/bag/cartridge filters, media vessels, chemical injection systems, and mechanical wheel washes. In his professional life, Steven oversaw installation and operation of over 400 water treatment systems ranging in scope and size from 20 US GPM to 3000 US GPM. Steven operated systems at BC Hydro Ruskin Dam, Site C, Mica Dam, Como Lake Substation, Dinosaur Lake Dredging, YVR Jet Fuel Delivery Pipeline, YVR Runway Paint/Rubber Eradication and Trans Mountain projects. As the Special Projects Supervisor, Steven was responsible for implementation in the field and successful execution of technically complex projects involving multi-step chemical treatment and specialized media applications. These projects include removal of iron, manganese, arsenic, copper, zinc, sediment and hydrocarbons from stormwater runoff or groundwater to meet stringent provincial and/or federal water quality standards for aquatic life protection.
