I have extensive experience in all facets of intellectual property practice, both in the United States and in foreign countries. This includes representation of clients in various patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret matters. To date, I have personally prepared and filed more than 2,000 U.S. patent applications. And still having fun.I am a frequent speaker on domestic and international intellectual property related topics for various organizations, including both for the legal community and business groups of various kinds. I served for many years on the National Knowledge and Intellectual Property Taskforce and I authored a book entitled “Strategic Patent Portfolio Management” as published by the Center for Advanced Technologies, National Knowledge and Intellectual Property Management Taskforce. I authored a chapter entitled “How to Turn White Space Dark for Fun and Profit” for the John Wiley & Sons publication entitled Business Power – Creating New Wealth From IP Assets. My chapter in this book provides specific details about how to successfully conduct advanced inventing sessions to identify and fill holes in the patent portfolio of a given enterprise. I am a co-founder of the International Association Of Innovation Professionals, for whom I coauthored a chapter entitled "Intellectual Property for Innovation" for their book "Global Innovation Science Handbook" as published by McGraw Hill Education.
