My experience in healthcare over the past 40 years has taught me that healthcare is unlike any other industry—constantly changing and increasingly complex, as evidenced by its intersection with digital technology. I’ve spent the past 30 years as a healthcare attorney working with my clients to identify creative solutions to challenges in digital health, health information exchanges, data sharing agreements, HIPAA, cybersecurity. I authored the DURSA and have been a part of technology revolutions within the industry. My unique perspective on healthcare originates from my experience as a firefighter and EMS provider early in life. Today, I serve as a volunteer member of the National Ski Patrol, responding to accidents in the mountains.
