Ensure tooling fleet is in good repair, and that machine operators have the tools needed to allow them to make quality parts. Responsible for everyday support of mold conditions using several pieces of internal equipment (MIG welding, TIG welding, sandblasting, ice blasting) to polish and repair molds and other supporting equipment. Work with the engineering team to build custom fixtures and jigs as needed. Travel and provide assistance to other plants as needed for machine maintenance (build or teardown).

Inspect first and last piece, complete PPAPS, Operate FARO arm with POLYWORKS software, ensure compliance with ISO within Quality department, Customer relations, backup Foreman for 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Inspect all outgoing products, polish material, 2b, 2d and white band material. Answer quality questions for inspectors on several lines, conduct continuous training with inspectors and train all new employees.

Certified welder under ASTM standards. Cut plate to length, width and parts using gas and plasma, operated 40-ton Zenar crane with hook, 30-ton crane with magnets and 10-ton sheet lifter. Loaded trucks according to order. Packaged coils, slit mults and secured railcars.
