The Product & Design team at AKQA Shanghai is an integrated team of hybrid practitioners that design and deliver evergreen brand and product experiences for clients that are leaders in their respective fields. • Led product innovation, management and architecture design for one of the world’s leading smart energy management companies, introducing 12 new key products to market on-time and on-budget. • Pioneered Efergy’s entry into the IoT and Smart Grid sectors, collaborating with global energy utilities such as EDF, Eon and HydroOne.• Worked with company founder to lead our company's transformation initiative to enter the cloud data services sector with our revolutionary Engage energy gateway, cloud and app energy management product line. • Responsible for the management of feasibility assessments, project scheduling, R&D budgeting, product and packaging design, technical support, mechanical engineering, hardware, communications and software development. • Managed time between corporate headquarters and manufacturing facilities in South China to lead multi-disciplined R&D and design teams.

• Jointly responsible for the creation of the product roadmap and the design development of both hardware and software at one of the world’s leading energy monitoring and management commercial electronics companies.• Established the design team and successfully updated the company’s product line prior to smart grid roll-outs in Europe, Canada and Australia. • Devised the strategy, implementation and re-design of the company’s consumer-centric brand identity.• Led branding efforts to implement the branding guidelines of OEM customers such as HydroOne, EDF, Eon, Schneider Electric and Clipsal.

Marriot.• Created a comprehensive design process for the company that covered all stages from design brief creation to post mass production support. • Led the design team through each phase of the design and development process whilst collaborating with Sales, Sourcing, Engineering and Manufacturing teams. • Set standards for product function, aesthetics, manufacturing materials and processes, quality control, packaging, shipping and installation. • Worked closely with the company Chief Executive, Chief of Technology and Chief Operating Officer whilst liaising with sales teams in North America and the EU.
