Steven has a master of law and started his professional carreer as environmental consultant and environmental coordinator.Since 2006 Steven was working for the association of Belgian electricity and gas companies, FEBEG. At the beginning he was mainly working on topics related to electricity generation, e.g. support schemes for renewables, emission trading scheme, permitting procedures, ... Gradually - as the association was growing - his focus was shifting towards the functioning and integration of the wholesale markets electricity and gas.As of the 1st of April, 2019 Steven joined Luminus. As Senior Manager Market Development he continues to monitor he evolutions on the wholesale markets for electricity and gas. As regards the electricity wholesale markets, his major priorities are the development of a capacity remuneration mechanism, the improvement of the balancing and ancillary services market and the development of demand side flexibility. Security of supply and appropriate services for flexible or back-up power plants are his priorities with regard to the gas wholesale market.
